Gerry Angevine
Senior Fellow, Fraser Institute
Gerry Angevine is Senior Fellow in the Fraser Institute's Centre for Energy and Natural Resource Studies. Mr. Angevine has been
President of AECL, an energy economics consulting firm, since 1999 and was a Managing Consultant with Navigant Consulting Ltd. from 2001 to 2004. He was President, CEO, and a Director of the Canadian Energy Research Institute from 1979 to 1999. Prior to that, he worked as an economist at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and the Bank of Canada. Mr. Angevine has undertaken domestic and international studies in the markets for natural gas (including trade, pipelines and storage), oil and oil products (including oil sands, refining and investment), and electricity (including deregulation, water rentals, and renewables). He has advised the Alberta Department of Energy and testified before the National Energy Board as an expert witness. He has A.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Michigan, a M.A. Economics degree from Dalhousie University and a B.Comm. from Mount Allison University.

Dr. Brett Belchetz

Dr. Brett Belchetz is a practicing emergency room physician from Toronto, Canada. He has an undergraduate degree in Statistical Sciences
from the University of Western Ontario and an M.D. from the University of Toronto. He was the chief resident of his post graduate training program at the University of Toronto. Prior to practicing medicine, Dr. Belchetz was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company. He is a regular commentator on health-related issues and is featured regularly as a medical expert on CTV's The Marilyn Denis Show.

Donald Boudreaux
Professor of Economics, George Mason University
Donald J. Boudreaux is a Professor of Economics and former Economics Department Chair at George Mason University and a Senior
Fellow with the Fraser Institute. He is also a Senior Fellow with the F.A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and holds the Martha and Nelson Getchell Chair for the Study of Free Market Capitalism at the Mercatus Center. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Auburn University and law degree from the University of Virginia.Professor Boudreaux is committed to making economics more accessible to a wider audience, and he has lectured across the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe on a wide variety of topics, including the nature of law, antitrust law and economics, and international trade. He is published in a variety of newspapers and journals, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, and The Supreme Court Economic Review and writes a blog (with Russell Roberts) called Café Hayek, cafehayek.com.

John Chant
Professor Emeritus of Economics, Simon Fraser University
John F. Chant is Professor Emeritus of Economics at Simon Fraser University. He was educated at the University of British
Columbia and Duke University and has taught at the University of Edinburgh, Duke University, University College Dar es Salaam, Queen's University, and Carleton University. He has written extensively on a variety of topics including monetary policy and theory, financial institutions and their regulation, and issues in higher education. Mr. Chant has been Research Director of the Financial Markets Group at the Economic Council, Research Director of the Task Force on the Future of the Canadian Financial System, and Adviser to the Governor of the Bank of Canada. He has also served as editor of Economic Inquiry and Canadian Public Policy, and as a member of the Monetary Policy Council of the CD Howe Institute. He was awarded the Western Economic Association's Award for Teaching Excellence. Mr. Chant has served as a ministerial appointee to the Board of the Canadian Payments Association and subsequently as a member of the Task Force on the Canadian Payments System. Currently, Mr. Chant serves as a Research Fellow of the C.D. Howe Institute and as a Senior Fellow and on the Editorial Board of The Fraser Institute.

Peter Cowley
Senior Fellow, Fraser Institute
Peter Cowley is a Senior Fellow and former Director of School Performance Studies at the Fraser Institute. He has a
B.Comm. from the University of British Columbia (1974). In 1994, Mr Cowley independently wrote and published The Parent's Guide, a popular handbook for parents of British Columbia's secondary-school students. The Parent's Guide web site replaced the handbook in 1995. In 1998, Mr Cowley was co-author of the Fraser Institute's A Secondary Schools Report Card for British Columbia, the first of the Institute's continuing series of annual reports on school performance. This was followed in by The 1999 Report Card on British Columbia's Secondary Schools, Boys, Girls, and Grades: Academic Gender Balance in British Columbia's Secondary Schools, and The 1999 Report Card on Alberta's High Schools. Since then, Mr Cowley has co-authored all of the Institute's annual Report Cards. Annual editions now include Report Cards on elementary and secondary schools in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario and on secondary schools in Quebec.

Philip Cross
Senior Fellow, Fraser Institute
Philip Cross spent 36 years at Statistics Canada, the last few years as its Chief Economic Analyst. He wrote Statistics Canada's
monthly assessment of the economy for years, as well as many feature articles for the Canadian Economic Observer. After leaving Statistics Canada, he worked for the Macdonald-Laurier Institute. He has been widely-quoted over the years, and now writes a bi-weekly column for the National Post and other papers.
