Aldyen Donnelly
Since 1996, Aldyen Donnelly has been the President of GEMCo, the Greenhouse Emissions Management Consortium.
GEMCo is a not-for profit corporation formed by Canadian energy companies to demonstrate industry leadership in the development of market-based approaches to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions management. GEMCo's mandate has been to develop greenhouse gas emission offsetting projects and emission reduction credit transactions for member investment. Reporting to the Chair of the Westcoast's Sustainable Development Council, Ms. Donnelly participated in the development and implementation of environmental and sustainable development policy, including; (1) the integration of environmental management and emerging energy business strategies; (2) environmental issues management; (3) sustainable development education and training.
From 1989 to 1994, Ms. Donnelly led an independent consulting practice that specialised in: environmental technology evaluation and marketing; public policy and program evaluation; and new technology business financing. Prior to 1989, Aldyen spent 8 years as a general management consultant in with various KPMG affiliates and served in line management positions in the energy and corporate communications sectors.
