For the past seven years Dr. Hodge has led the creative, dynamic and truly committed staff of The Frederick Douglass Academy. Every parent, guardian, teacher, teacher's assistant, secretary, clerical assistant, janitorial helper and food service worker believe that our students can gain entry into the college of their choice. They transform students into our future leaders.
Dr. Hodge has held the following positions in the New York City Department of Education; teacher, Bilingual Coordinator, Director of Dropout Prevention, Assistant Principal of Guidance, Administration, Organization, Security, Special Education, Evening School and Principal. He has served as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn College, Fordham University, College of New Rochelle, St. Joseph's Seminary and John Jay College.
He has four Masters Degrees and completed his doctoral studies at Fordham University in Language Literary and Learning. He has conducted extensive research on high school dropouts and the characteristics of successful students.
