Is Canada Really an Environmental Laggard?

Dr. Heather Holden is the former Director of the Risk, Regulation and Environmental Centre at The Fraser Institute. She holds a PhD in environmental studies from the University of Waterloo focusing on satellite remote sensing and geographic information systems and is an experienced marine science researcher, specializing in coral reef ecosystem change, spatial statistics, radiative transfer in the atmosphere and water column, and climatology. She has authored or co-authored numerous articles published in scientific journals around the globe. Before joining the Institute, Dr. Holden was Executive Director of the Pacific Ocean Shelf Tracking Project (POST) at the Vancouver Aquarium. She has also held teaching positions at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, National University of Singapore, and the University of Waterloo.
