About the Event
On Thursday, October 19th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto, the Fraser Institute will hold its annual Founders’ Award tribute dinner honouring Canada’s greatest business and philanthropic leaders. We are extremely pleased to announce that this year the award will be presented to Mr. Edward Sonshine, Chief Executive Officer, RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust.
The Fraser Institute Founders’ Award, in recognition of its founders T. Patrick Boyle and Michael A. Walker, is the Institute’s highest honour. The award is presented annually to individuals in recognition of their exceptional entrepreneurial achievements, generous philanthropic endeavours and dedication to competitive markets. Past recipients include exemplary Canadians such as Linda Hasenfratz, Jim Jarrell, Jack Cockwell, Peter Gilgan, Eric Sprott, Peter Brown, Ned Goodman, Clay Riddell,Peter Munk, and Tony Fell.
Please join the Fraser Institute in celebrating Mr. Sonshine's contributions to Ontarian and Canadian business. In previous years, Ontarians have been very generous with their support which has been instrumental in ensuring each honouree is celebrated in a manner fitting of their contribution.
