According to forecasts, the province’s net debt will eclipse $468 billion by 2024/25.

Between now and 2022/23, Alberta’s per-person debt is projected to grow by 157 per cent.
Once its net debt reaches $48 billion in 2020/21, Alberta will have burned through $83 billion in net assets in 13 years.
In 2016-17, the deficit was $0.991 billion but $6.276 billion was added to the net debt.
Ontario has seen its share of total provincial net debt rise to 51 per cent.
